We are looking for
a Senior Game Developer

Do you dream of crafting immersive and engaging game experiences? Are you a collaborative spirit who thrives in a dynamic and playful environment?

Set Snail, an award-winning Danish studio, is seeking a passionate Game Developer to join our expanding team. You'll contribute to exciting projects, potentially for clients like Google, IKEA, and DR, using your gaming development expertise to bring interactive visions to life.

What you'll do

  • Develop core gameplay mechanics, systems, and features from concept to launch
  • Collaborate closely with designers, artists, and project managers to translate creative ideas into compelling and functional game experiences
  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code using relevant game development technologies
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest game development trends, tools, and techniques
  • Optimize game performance and ensure a smooth player experience
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving development workflows

We're looking for someone with

  • A strong portfolio showcasing your game development skills (e.g., playable demos, code samples, project descriptions)
  • Experience with Javascript/h5 game development
  • Proficiency in at least one major game engine (e.g., Unity, Unreal Engine, Godot, Bevy)
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as JS, C#, C++, or similar
  • Experience with game development concepts like game physics, animation, and UI/UX
  • Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills
  • A genuine passion for games and a drive to learn new technologies
  • The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Fluency in English
  • The ability to work from our office in Aarhus or Copenhagen
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g. Git)
  • A strong understanding of game design principles
  • A fun, positive, and proactive attitude

Bonus points for

  • Experience with mobile game development
  • Knowledge of shader programming
  • Experience with networking in games
